Human: The most common race in the world, they seem to be able to live anywhere. They are usually from 5'5" to 6'5" and engage in practically any trade.
Elves: They mostly live in the underwater city at Moonstone, are typically 2"-4" taller than humans. They have a deep bond with nature and are typically skilled mages or archers.
Dwarves: They mostly live in the mountains that divide Il'laaga, mostly in Vulcan. There are few Dwarves. What they lack for in size they make up for in their strength and skill at the forge. Dwarves tend to side with the League of Stars, who is their main customer in weaponry. 3'7"-4'8"
Gnomes: Even shorter than Dwarves, but technologically advanced for their time. They are also few as the Dwarves, usually living in Caves or Forests in Eastern Il'laaga. They are naturally intelligent and cunning, but can be skilled with weapons or magic if they choose. Always curious and usually fast talkers. Tend to side with the Shruki, who are allied with them and who are native to East Il'laaga as well. 3'-4' tall.
Centaur: There is no sight in battle more fearsome than a charging Centaur. With four strong legs but two arms of a giant human, they are masters of almost any weapon. Honor and battle-skill are their two top priorities. They are many nomadic clans ruled by one chieftain. They often can cast strong earth magic. Currently have an alliance with the League of Stars. They usually stand 6'-8' tall.
Pegasus: Very noble and peace-loving creatures, content to graze in open fields or hunt in forests. Their flowing manes and graceful wings make them stand out from any other horse- they have also developed the ability to speak their own language. They are close to the wind and love to fly; many are adept at wind magic. The Shruki are currently helping them regain their land.
Necromancers: (Requires RP sample) Of any race, these individuals have forfeited their eternal soul to the void in return for dark powers. They are usually cruel and evil. (See the Magic Overview thread in Rules and Information board to see the basic gist of Necromancy.)
Elemental: A kind of spirit who has a close affinity to one element, such as the Sprites in Fey Forest. Have strong magic and can sometimes use physical weapons as well, can change appearences at will. Pyran is an example of a spirit.

But when they do show up from time to time- watch out! They are quite the force to be reckoned with. Recently theyy have been beginning to become more active. There are 4 elemental dragon lords:

Rorag, of fire
Naiad, of water and ice.

The Sage lives in a small shack at the tip of Cape Claw to the very West of Il'laaga- it is rumored that he has mastered all elements of elemental magic! (Must be neutral, Requires RP Sample)
Jethrow is a necromancer who is trying to rule Kael'Timorn

To make a dragon or pre-named character you must post an RP sample and prove yoruself very competent. Do know though- most people will not be able to get a dragon or pre-named character as their first character unless they are proficient RP'ers.
No one can have a second character until they have at least 100 posts. and even then you might not be abe to.
